I let my teeth grind in pain as I squeezed my eyes closed, relaxing my jaw and sticking my tongue out and curling it.

I rolled my good shoulder and blinked, shutting the pain out and attempting to sit up, lookedng at Marie to help.

I tried to move my arms but shutting the pain away made them numb. I let the sharp pain rush through me again so I could use my arms and I brought Marie down, hugging her with a sorry expression and cringing to myself from the sharp, bloody pain.
