Marie clenched her fists, watching smoke raise from the city. Her eyes watered as she watched the heads of the wrenched beasts, the titans, wander around the fallen city in search of human survivors. She whimpered, staring down at the water. She and a few of her friends had escaped of boat, but all she could think of was the poor lives who hadn't been able to escape, the poor souls who'd been devoured by the titans.

I ran up behind her and slid across the ground on my face, feet flipping over me as I stop and land on my butt, shaking my head and just staying down there.
"Link is dead, so what do you see?"

She jumped and looked at him, startled.
"Oh... ah... yeah... noticed..."
(OKAY, IN THIS DIMENSION, MARIE'S PARENTS WERE BOTH KILLED BY TITANS. EATEN BY TITANS TO BE MORE CORRECT, AND IT WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER TO SO SHE'S PRETTY SCARRED AND REALLY WANTS TO KILL TITANS. XP)

I dip my head, wishing I could go and hide.

She hugged him, scowling at the titans, though they were far behind them.
"I'm gonna make them pay... I'll kill every last titan..." She growled in a low, dangerous tone.

Marie stood in a line of people in military training, keeping a straight face as the drill Sargent went around yelling in everyone's faces. She bit her lip, scowling at the people who wanted to join the military police to live safe lives instead of fighting titans.
