A small figure mounted her bike (It looks similar to the type of bike used in Tron) She adjusted the goggles on her head, blowing blond bangs from her eyes as she pushed off the ground and leaning forward as the bike sprung to life, driving forward. The breeze stung the bruise on her right cheek as she narrowed her eyes, the wind causing them to water. Being small and thin, leaning farther down allowed the wind to blow past her, causing the bike to move faster. She hunched her shoulders and bit her bottom lip, speeding toward her home, where her parents, Gen-X and Pause, waited for her. At the time, she had no idea they weren't really her parents, they were friends from her past life playing parent for her in this life, they were not actually married, and not actually her parents. Both of her real parents died when she was very young. She slowed the bike down as she neared her house, pulling to a stop in the driveway and dis-mounting, marching up the steps and heading inside. Her 'mother' turned towards her with a worried expression. "Marie... is that a bruise...?" Marie snatched something from the table and huffed, stuffing the apple in her pocket. "Yeah..." Her mother sighed. "Marie, stop getting into fights..." Marie rolled her eyes and stormed back out to her bike, mounting, and driving quickly to the 'underground', an underground clock-work system. Turning gears surrounded the entire place, making it dangerous to navigate, but Marie didn't care. She found this place a month ago, and she was determined to explore every inch of it. She stopped her bike just inside, and dis-mounted, walking towards the south wing, where she was going to explore that particular day. She watched the golden gears turn, working whatever system they were apart of in awe. She adjusted her goggle with a small smile, climbing over a dead gear and ducking under another, taking the apple out of her pocket and eating it slowly as she walked.

I walked into the shop and my stomach churned as the gears in my newly built shoulder released a low oil into my blood. I groaned and sprawled ny wings so I wouldn't fall into anything. Maylo approached me and handed me a hair tie, sitting me on the bedstriss and having me fishtail braid her hair.

Marie glanced around, narrowing her teal eyes and pushing her choppy bangs from her eyes. Most made fun of her for having such short hair, but if it wasn't in the law for females to wear skirts, she'd be wearing pants as well. She scowled at the thought of the 'Civilization'. Their laws were stupid, and made no sense. She muttered to herself, adjusting the position of her goggles as she navigated the golden gears, slowly reaching her destination, the southern wing.

She smiled and a click chimed in her throat, pleased I was able to stay. She held up a sheet. "Thank you daddy." I purred and swallowed rejected oil. "No problem pretty girl..."

Marie glanced around, running her hand over a slowly spinning gear. She sighed. Her parents wouldn't let her NEAR tools or gears, but she excelled at her inventing class at school. Her parents firmly believed that inventing was a male's job, not a female's. She just thought that was very sexist. She adjusted her goggles again and climbed over another gear, reaching her destination, the southern wing. She glanced around with a small smile. In the far left corner, and small worktable rested, covered thumb deep in dust. She blinked, examining it and slowly climbed over to it, picking up a wrench and flipping it around in her hand, awestruck.

She leaped from my lap and ran to thw slogged machine I had in the corner and she wanted me to finish it for her. I climbed up and paused, feeling light headed and short on breath. Maylo climbed up and tightened thw straps on my thigh for me, helping me circle my blood better.

She examined the rest of the worktable, smiling softly. It all felt familiar to her somehow, but she still wasn't quite sure how. She picked up a small, broken robotic horse. It's eyes flickered on and off quickly before dimming. Marie blinked, letting out an awed breath. "Who MADE this..." She murmured softly, turning it over in her hand, her blue-print wired mind taking it apart and putting it together again as she examined it.

I sighed and pulled ny prints for Dash, Nobel, and Quarts, using some quadrant points to build my Dinosaur for Maylo.

She set the small horse down, feeling a small ting of sorrow for the small broken thing. She continued to examine the work table, picking up a screwdriver, setting it back down and picking up another invention. Her eyes drifted back to the horse, and she picked it up again, along with the scraps of metal that was obviously the rest of it and sat down, using the blue prints her brain had spat out to tentatively fix small parts on it, smiling softly as she realized she was doing much better than she expected.

My hands shook and I wiped my eyes, sighing deeply and flicking my tail.

It took her a while, but she eventually finished her repairs, and turned the small horse back on. It turned it's head towards her and reared, galloping off. She watched it with a small smile and stood back up, exploring the rest of the room. Almost everything was covered with dust, but a few things look recently used. She shoved the thought that someone had been here away. The entire place MUST have been abandoned for a while, it was practically covered with dust, but no matter how much she denied it, the thought that someone HAD been down here haunted her, causing her to tense and glance over her shoulder as if someone was watching. She laughed nervously when she saw no one there, and turned back around to continue her exploration.

I looked back at Maylo, watching her wait for her creature to be fixed.

Marie glanced at the direction the small horse had went, and her curiosity got the best of her. She set the screwdriver she'd been examining and followed. She gulped as the room got slightly darker and she stepped over another turning gear. The hallway soon became dust free and she glanced around nervously. It looked almost as if someone had been here... She slapped herself. "Don't be silly... It must just be... that... the dust hasn't reached this part yet!" She murmured to herself, looking over her shoulder, half expecting to see someone behind her.

My alarm sounded on my shoulder, showing Dash had been activated and I jumped, surprised. "Dash has been activated...?"

Marie caught up to the small horse. It seemed to have been waiting for her. She knelt down and examined it as it ran around in circles. She smiled softly. "Aw, you're pretty hyper, aren't ya? I think I'll call you Dashie, how 'bout that?" The small horse nickered happily, flicking it's mane and pranced around, flicking it's tail in a motion to follow and sped off down the hall. Marie straightened up and smirked, adjusting her goggles and followed.
